Mary Kopf - Meet the Artist

Mary was born in Oregon and raised in Oregon, Alaska and Washington State. Mary and her husband,  of over 40 years, now reside on 4 wooded acres overlooking Rose Lake, Idaho.  They are the proud parents of 6 grown children and 9 grandchildren.  As a self taught artist, Mary pours over art books and takes an occasional art class.  She started painting in acrylics and worked several years as a decorative painter, selling a variety of artwork in local shops.  Her travels to countries such as Brazil, Ecuador, Romania, Papua New Guinea, Mexico and Canada give her a worldwide interest in varied subjects and styles of painting. In May of 2003 Mary took a watercolor workshop that stimulated her love for watercolors. Her original paintings can be viewed in the Angel Gallery in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and the St. Maries Art Gallery in St. Maries, Idaho. Mary participates as a member of the Coeur d’Alene Art Association.
