Supplies:

  • DMC Traditions size 10 bedspread weight thread in 2 colors (MC and CC)
  • Size “4” (1.75 mm) steel crochet hook
  • Button (tiny)
  • Needle for weaving in ends

 

Gauge (always be sure to check gauge):
Gauge not important on this as this can be made any desired size.

Size Info:
Head Wrap – approx 1 ½” x 12”
Wrist Wrap – approx 1 ½” x 6”

Head Wrap
Row 1 – With MC, ch 19, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across.  –(17 dc)-

Row 2 – Ch 2 (Does NOT count as first dc now and throughout), turn, dc in same st, dc in next 2 dc, ch 1, sk next dc, *dc in next dc, ch 1, sk next dc, repeat from * across to last 3 dc, dc in each of last 3 dc.  –(11 dc/6 ch-1 sps)-

Rows 3-X – Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 12”.

Row X+1 – Ch 2, turn, dc in same st, dc in next 2 dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, *dc in next dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, repeat from * across to last 3 dc, dc in each of last 3 dc. Fasten off.  –(17 dc)-

Trim
Rnd 1 - With CC, attach thread with sl st to last stitch just made (in the corner) working down long side of wrap ch 1, sc in same st, sc in side of each row, 3 sc in next corner, sc in each free loop along bottom edge, 3 sc in next corner, sc in side of each row up long side of wrap, 3 sc in next corner, sc in each st across top of wrap, 2 sc in same st as first sc, join with sl st to first sc.

Rnd 2 – Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in each sc along first side to corner sc, 3 sc in corner sc, sc in next 2 sc on bottom edge, (ch 101, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in next 83 ch’s (leaving last 16 ch’s unworked), ch 16), sc in 3rd st from end of bottom edge, sc in next sc, 3 sc in corner, sc in each sc up long side of wrap, 3 sc in next corner, sc in next 2 sc, repeat in () once, sc in 2nd st from first sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in same st as first sc, join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Weave in Ends.

 

Wrist Wrap

Trim
With CC, attach thread with sl st to last stitch just made (in the corner) working down long side of wrap ch 1, sc in same st, sc in side of each row, 3 sc in next corner, sc in each free loop along bottom edge, 3 sc in next corner, sc in side of each row up long side of wrap, 3 sc in next corner, sc in next 8 sts, ch 8, sl st in 8th ch from hook, sc in same st, sc in each remaining st along top edge, 2 sc in same st as first sc, join with sl st to first sc.  Fasten off.

Sew tiny button to opposite side of wrap from button loop.
Weave in Ends
