Supplies:

• Small amount of Aunt Lydia’s size 3 thread
• Size “E” (3.0 mm) crochet hook
• Needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:
Row 1 – Ch 21, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.  –(20 hdc)-
Rows 2-10 – Ch 1, turn, hdc in same st and in each hdc across.  –(20 hdc)-

5 hdc = 1”

Size Info:
Small = approx. 3” wide by 19” long
Medium = approx. 3” wide by 20” long
Large = approx. 3” wide by 21” long

Row 1 – Ch 9, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.  –(8 hdc)-

Row 2 – Ch 1, turn, 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next 6 hdc, 2 hdc in last hdc. 
–(10 hdc)-

Row 3 – Ch 1, turn, hdc same st and in each hdc across.  –(10 hdc)-

Row 4 – Ch 1, turn, 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next 8 hdc, 2 hdc in last hdc. 
–(12 hdc)-

Row 5 – Repeat Row 3.  –(12 hdc)-

Row 6 – Ch 1, turn, 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next 10 hdc, 2 hdc in last hdc.

Row 7 – Repeat Row 3.  –(14 hdc)-

Row 8 – Ch 1, turn, 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next 12 hdc, 2 hdc in last hdc.

Row X+2 – Repeat Row 3.  –(12 hdc)-

Row X+3 – Ch 1, turn, hdc dec over next 2 hdc, hdc in next 10 hdc, hdc dec over last 2 hdc.  –(10 hdc)-

Row X+4 – Repeat Row 3.  –(10 hdc)-

Row X+5 – Ch 1, turn, hdc dec over next 2 hdc, hdc in next 8 hdc, hdc dec over last 2 hdc.  –(8 hdc)-

Edging
Ch 1, turn work to work down long side, 3 sc in corner, sc in end of each row, 3 sc in next corner, sc in next 4 free loops of orginal ch, ch 81, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, sc in next free loop from orginal ch, sc in next 3 free loops, 3 sc in corner, sc in end of each row along side, 3 sc in next corner, sc in next 4 hdc, ch 81, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, sc in next 4 hdc, join with sl st to first sc of edging.  Fasten off.

Weave in Ends.
