The Designer

Anna Ness is a 28 year old, stay-at home mother to a darling little girl Chloe. She combines her love of crochet and her passion to be a Proverbs 31 woman to create works of art now known as Lullabies and Lace.

Married to the man of her dreams, she travels the world by his side, supporting his career in the United States Military. Anna loves to cook, scrapbook, knit and embroider in addition to many other hobbies and crafts. She is a child at heart and adores playing with little Chloe whether they are dancing around the room to a favorite song, sharing a popsicle on a warm day or snuggling under the covers for a game of hide and seek.

Anna learned to crochet at the age of 8 years old. Her mother first taught her to finger crochet a chain. After miles of endless chains and countless necklaces for Barbie she learned the art of crocheting around hangers.

Upon her marriage in 1998 Anna took up crocheting full time, only this time she started with a tiny hook and a ball of thread. After crocheting her first doily she started a tablecloth (which has yet to be finished) and her love for all things crocheted with thread began.

When her daughter Chloe was born Anna found a new desire to crochet heirloom quality items that would be cherished by her children and grandchildren for generations to come. The dream to design was born.

Anna designed her first pattern (Angel Whispers Ensemble) in January 2006 and hasn't stopped since. It is her love, her passion, her dream come true.

Anna strives to be original with each pattern she writes. She sits with only her hook and a bit of thread or yarn and works until she has designed something creative and unique, elegant and charming. It is her desire that the patterns you find here will become heirlooms you cherish a lifetime and keepsakes treasured for generations to come.
